Hiba Heba (Hiba Aamer) is a Pakistani poet with a BS in English literature and linguistics from Air University, Islamabad. She was the first runner-up for the New Feathers Award 2021 and her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Aleph Review, The Punch Magazine, The Ofi Press, Fragmented Voices, Eunoia Review, Poetry Wales and elsewhere. Hiba also has a poetry micro-chapbook, Grief is a Firefly, published by Origami Poems Project in 2021. Birth of a Mural is her debut full-length poetry collection, published in 2023 by the US-based Golden Dragonfly Press.
Hiba lives with her cat, Daisy. She is an English instructor at FAST-NUCES Islamabad campus, and on most Saturdays she cohosts Verse Murals on Instagram live – a virtual poetry open-mic for emerging and established poets.
